I met Loughlin Deegan, outgoing artistic director of the Ulster Bank Dublin Theatre Festival yesterday for a run through some of the programme. Here’s what he had to say.

Loughlin is someone I respect, like and have a lot of time for. He’s obviously done some great work with the Theatre Festival over the past five years, as evidenced by the sincere gratitude and appreciation shown to him by sponsors, fans and supporters of the Festival at the launch event in the RHA last night.
