Offers, discounts and freebies with Yelp’s Passport to Rathmines

Here’s a great deal for you – check out the Passport to Rathmines and get discounts, special offers and money off 26 local businesses in Rathmines, thanks to Yelp.ie

Do you Yelp? Yelp.ie has been up and running for over two years now and is a great resource for reviews and events and they organise great nights out.
It’s free to sign up and becoming very popular. There’s a handy mobile phone app and a lovely community on the site.
Their newest project is called Passport to Rathmines and is on from September 9 to 16. It involves 26 local businesses in Rathmines giving deep discounts for that week to entice people to shop local and discover quirky Rathmines.
They’re having a free launch party at Rody Bolands on September 9 from 5:30pm – 7:30pm. There will be free drink and food (donated from Lu Fattarelle (pizza bites) and Café Moda (dessert nyoms)). You must RSVP on this page to attend though.
Some of the discounts available (see them all on this PDF) are very cool:
Little Ass Burrito - Any burrito and bottle of craft beer for €5 (usually €12)
Think Bike - Free bike service which is normally valued at €40
Village Cafe - A free glass of wine or dessert with every main course purchased after 6pm.
Soho Books - 20% off everything
Rody Bolands - Free starter or cocktail with every main course
Swan Leisure Centre - Pay for 1 adult to go swimming and the 2nd adult & children go free.
Free fitness assessments for gym guests.
10 personal training sessions in the gym for just €250 (normal price €400).

What’s in it for Yelp? Firstly it is completely free for the businesses to partake in and they decided on their own offers so we are making no money from it.
Quite simply it’s raising our brand awareness and how we are all about people finding local businesses. This will be our very first time to do it in a European neighbourhood which is very exciting.
