Win tickets to BATMAN LIVE at the O2
It’s BATMAN LIVE and it opens at the O2, Dublin this week. One for Batman fans of all ages, it’s not a musical adaptation – it’s a thrilling action show incorporating circus acrobatics, special effects, magic, comedy and more.
You can win tickets to see it on opening night Wednesday or on Thursday.
Faithfully adapted from the DC Comics characters and stories, BATMAN LIVE focuses on Robin’s quest for justice, which leads him to follow in the footsteps of his hero – the mysterious vigilante known as Batman, much to the dismay of his protective guardian, billionaire Bruce Wayne, whom the audience knows is secretly Batman.
This dynamic triangle resolves itself in a non-stop thrill-ride across Gotham City that transforms Bruce Wayne and Dick Grayson into the legendary crime-fighters, Batman and Robin.
The adventure transports the audience from the Big Top of Haly’s Circus to the lower depths of Arkham Asylum, and from the glittering peaks of the Penguin’s Iceberg Lounge to the subterranean wonders that await inside the Batcave.

Batman Live is a different kind of stage show to anything I have ever seen or heard of before. Part circus, part theatre and part animated movie it is an unusual hybrid of formats which succeeds in bringing the Batman story to life an entertaining way.
You can also watch this amateur video on YouTube to get a taste. It’s definitely a show kids will joy and Batman fans (more-so Burton than anything else) will appreciate – the special effects are truly spectacular, the design both creative and faithful and the acrobatics worthwhile. The costumes, set and especially the Batmobile and animations are truly excellent.
I want to go back and see it again. This time though I’m bringing people with me.
You can win a pair of tickets for the opening night on Wednesday 28 or a pair of tickets for Thursday 29.
Dublin prices for Wednesday are €30 and for Thursday to Saturday are €23, €33.60 and €44.20. There is limited availability of Premium “Gotham City” seats. You can buy them online here.
It also hits Belfast’s Odyssey Arena from Wednesday 5 October (all tickets £25) and from
Thursday 6 – Saturday 8 October tickets are £38, £33 and £22.50.
