Centra are launching these gigs as part of a new marketing campaign. There is a competition over on Facebook to win tickets to these gigs – but I’ve been given a dedicated allocation to guarantee you’re in with a chance to win.

Tuesday 31st May, 2011: Centra customers of all ages are saying they are recession weary and ready for something different. Responding to this, Centra is about to unleash a new €2m communications strategy. The brand promises an even more customer friendly shopping experience and exceptional value, under its new tagline ‘Brighten Up Your Day’, across all of its 468 stores nationwide.
To get this new campaign off to a flying start, Centra Ireland’s largest convenience retailer, intends to put a smile back on people’s faces by hosting two free comedy gigs to ‘Brighten Up Your Day’.
The gigs featuring two of Ireland’s biggest comedians, Jason Byrne and Karl Spain will both take place on 21 June; after all, there is no brighter day!
Jason’s gig will take place in Vicar Street in Dublin, while Karl will headline at the Pavilion in Cork.
Tickets for both events will be free and will be available from Wednesday 1 of June via Centra’s Facebook page www.facebook.com/centraireland.
Tickets will be allocated on a first come first served basis from June 1 with tickets being released across a number of dates between then and the 17 of June. Become a fan of Centra on Facebook and be in with a chance to brighten up your day!

All you need to do is comment below with which gig – Dublin or Cork – you’d like to go to and you’ll be in with a chance.

Would really love free tickets to see Karl Spain in Cork. As i can’t afford to go on holidays with my friends to Spain this summer. Karl Spain is the closest i wil get & this would really BRIGHTEN UP MY DAY.
