Win tickets to see PERVE at the Peacock Theatre, Dublin

Perve on the Peacock Stage from Abbey Theatre.

Win tickets to see PERVE, written by Stacey Gregg, at Dublin’s Peacock Theatre.

Gethin is 23, just finished a film course and reckons he’s the next Scorsese. His Mum is on at him to do her friend’s wedding video – and before they get divorced.

But Gethin is interested in a much more daring project – one that will test his friendships, piss off his sister, question his idealism and turn his life and that of his family upside down.

Perve is an irreverent and unsettling play that interrogates paranoia, ambiguity and innocence in our highly sexualized world.

I’ve already reviewed PERVE, and now I’d like to see what you think about it. As I wrote in my review for LeCool Dublin:

It’s as if the playwright took my own biggest fears about the web and laid them out on stage in a clever, riveting and polarizing play – one I think will be more intimidating for a male than female audience.

The sharp script is very accessible, the cast are very identifiable and very good and the set is a masterpiece. While Perve is funny, it’s uneasy laughter throughout, and every guy will think to check their internet history afterwards.

PERVE at the Peacock Theatre runs until June 25, Monday to Saturday, at 8pm, with a Saturday Matineee at 2.30pm. Tickets are between €13 and €25 and can be booked online here.

You can win a pair of tickets by leaving a comment below. I have a couple of sets of tickets to give away…

Competition runs until Wednesday June 8. Winners picket at random and contacted by email. Thanks to David at the Abbey Theatre for giving the tickets.
