Win tickets to see The Brilliant Things at the Academy, Dublin on Saturday

The Brilliant Things are playing the Academy, Dublin on Saturday night. I have some pairs of tickets to give away to the gig to start your Christmas off with style.
It seems like forever ago when I interviewed Greg and Marie for the first time. Now after an amazing 2011 The Brilliant Things are headlining the Academy bringing their recent album (released in October) to a very appreciative audience. With great tracks like Something To Say, Pointless, Girls Can Be Mean, and Young, a personal favourite, there’s a great night of music in store.
Not sure who they are? Well there’s Marie Junior on lead vocal, Geoff French on drums, Greg French on keyboards and guitar and Mia Fitzgerald on bass.
Here’s what they look like

and when they’re playing Festivals – like they did at Leeds, Reading, Oxegen, the Isle of Wight and more, this is what they look like

Over on their YouTube channel they have lots of videos including songs Something to Say (above) and Pointless from their recent album, as well as some backstage footage:
and here’s a video we shot in July 2009 just before their Oxegen appearance
Tickets for their gig are €15 each – buy them here – but thanks to Marie I have some to give away.
To be in with a chance of winning a pair, just leave a comment below.
Winners will be picked at random and emailed. If you were to become a fan on Facebook or follow them on twitter @brilliantthings, that would be lovely.
