Win tickets to the second last show of Alice in Funderland

Would you like to win tickets to the SOLD OUT Alice in Funderland at the Abbey Theatre? It’s the last week and I’ve bought two tickets to the second last performance – the Matinee on Saturday afternoon – to give to someone who’d love to go.

if you didn’t get to see it, scarlet for you. RT “@thisispopbaby: #AliceInFunderland is SOLD OUT. Exhale. ThankYouz.”

Actually in love with Alice from #Aliceinfunderland , she was amazing @MsSarahGreene — fionn breen (@fionn_breen) May 10, 2012
Really enjoyed #AliceInFunderland tonight and I definitely want The Gay’s silver trousers to add to my wardrobe. — David Doyle (@DavidMJTDoyle) May 9, 2012
#AliceinFunderland was outstanding last night. It’s a Dublin based Alice story with a twist of sarcasm. Great show by @thisispopbaby

I got to a stage with Alice in Funderland that I had to stop talking about it because people thought I was obsessed. I am, a bit. Especially with the songs. They won’t leave my head.
I’ve seen it 4 times now – once last year, three times this run (twice of those on invitation) and I’m booked in for the last show on Saturday night as well. I’m sure Sarah Greene and Paul Reid are wondering if they should call security at this stage. I know Philly McMahon thinks I’m a looper. I probably am.
I know there’s people who just didn’t get the chance to go, either because they forgot to book or they couldn’t afford to, so this competition is for them.
I bought two tickets – Row F, great seats – for the winner. The Matinee is on this Saturday at 2pm.
Like to go? Drop me a comment below. I’ll pick a winner at noon tomorrow.
Please only enter if you can go!
Even looking at these photos the songs are coming into my head… Here’s a little teaser of what’s in store for you. All photos from the Abbey Theatre and THISISPOPBABY on Facebook.

Hello,
I also left it too late. I was going to buy myself some tickets for my Birthday and then my birthday came along and it was sold out. It is most sad.
Oh and songs stick in my head too (currently on repeat “Happy Talk” from South Pacific – don’t ask) so we can set up a support group for people with songs from Alice in Funderland stuck in their heads when the run is finished! We can only set up this support group if I have seen it though.
COME ONNNNNNN – Please?
Thanks,

I’ve been dying to to see this but being ridiculously broke and in the midst of college finals means I haven’t had a chance to go.
I had tickets to it in Project last year and got stuck in a traffic jam and missed it.
Everything I’ve heard is it’s an amazing show.

Silly me, I did the tweets & status about the brilliance of Alice in Funderland & I did realise that it was the last week- but I think I’m in some kind of wormhole where time keeps speeding up & I’m even losing days. It’s weird & scary & I just can’t get enough done with my days – can you BELIEVE that it’s the middle of May already?!
Next thing you know, it’ll be Christmas.
Sorry to ramble, to get to the point- I never got around to buying tickets even though it was on my to-do list & I would love to see what other creative people are doing in Dublin for inspiration & a fun afternoon out!
Thank you! X

I met Paul Reid at a mutual friend’s engagement party over a year ago and he was telling me about the Alice in Funderland workshops he was working on at that time and was performing for agents. Have been dying to see this show since he told me about it but was waiting to get paid to get tickets as then they go and sell-out!!!! Don’t let me miss this show again after waiting to see it for over a year!!!

.
I await your good news.

I’d be great company (or leave those around alone if they so choose!)
I’m willing to be hung upside down by my ankles outside the Abbey (providing the right safety equipment is used)! That’s how much I’d love to see the show

I’m going to be brutally honest. I would have booked a ticket for this show but I couldn’t afford it. I am delighted to hear it’s sold out, as it proves how popular and successful the show has been, but also because now I can pretend I missed out because of the late booking rather than admit the truth that I couldn’t afford to buy a ticket. I need to see this play. THISISPOPBABY is a terrific company, and someday I would like to be working with them on that stage, but if I don’t see this show and tell them afterwards that I can’t get their catchy songs out of my head then what hope have I? Pick me. The future of my career could depend on it
