about

yay.ie – what’s happening

Hello there you. Thanks for dropping by and checking us out. We hope you like what you see.

This site was created by @cloudsteph, @niamhsmith and @darraghdoyle – it’s a place for us to tell you about events, festivals, theatre and more.

We run competitions, share reviews and previews and have fun with what we do.

We post information that we’ve found or from event organisers, marketing and press departments, PR companies, charities and venues to help spread the word.

We’ll be up front when we’re sharing press releases or asked / invited to write about an event. We’ll also share where we found our information online.

Give us a shout on twitter – we’re @yay_ie

How to get your event on yay.ie

Is there something you’d like us to post about? Just drop us an email with images and details.

The best email address to get us on is hey@yay.ie

The more detailed your email, the more help it will be for us.

Please remember – this is a hobby site for us, one we do before or after work. We put a lot of love, passion, energy and time into it but we’re not being paid to run it. We’ll do what we can, when we can.

PR Companies: You are, of course, very welcome to get in touch. We respect what you do.

We’d much prefer to make this site as unique and as worthwhile as possible. We reserve the right to edit your content appropriately and/or to decline your invitation to post, if it’s not right for the site.

We also would prefer the competitions we run to be unique to this website. The better the prize, the more entries you’ll get! We will post who the competition is run with and thank you and your client for offering the prize.  We don’t charge for competitions or keep prizes.

We’re still only new and have work to do.

Even though we’re live, we have lots of work to do on this site – so please bear with us.

Rawrrr.

If you do spot any bugs or problems feel free to pass them on to steph@yay.ie and help us get a step closer to shedding the obligatory “beta” sticker.

Love and respect to Le Cool Dublin, Beaut.ieBroadsheet.ie, Boards.ie, DublinEventGuide.com, DublinCulture.ie,  TodayinDublin, Culch.ieEntertainment.ie, Goldenplec.com, Nialler9.com, State.ieYelp.ie and all the other websites that we enjoy, that inspire us and that our friends and us read, work on and contribute to.
